Summary

Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, another abortion facility chain, and several abortionists are challenging 5 commonsense laws regulating abortion in North Carolina. These laws require that abortions be performed by a licensed physician, that proper facility safety standards be in place, that abortion providers present women with all the options available to them, that women are given a 72-hour informed-consent period before undergoing the procedure, and prohibit telemedicine abortions. Women deserve to know the options they have before they make a life-altering decision like an abortion, and that’s why ADF is representing North Carolina Speaker of the House Timothy Moore and Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger in defending these laws.
